Blue Painted Teak Ceremonial Drum Base, Indonesia 1900-1920

It was used for ceremonial purposes and repainted each time. In the restoration process the layers of paint are revealed, creating a unique lustrous surface, the color and texture of which is spectacular and tells its own story. It can be displayed as objets d'art, or may function as plant/ikabana, or with a glass top and metal base it can be converted into a table.
